Fit & Healthy

I follow back :)

I am a 21 year old girl who loves to exercise all the time! From a young age I was always "big" and I hated it! I wanted to be the thin, fit girl who everyone loves but lets face it, I can't be all three! Or can I? Juggling exercise and a very tough Beauty Course is a challenge in itself. I am determined to be a Beauty Therapist and A fit one at that ;) I love to make new friends and meet people who share the same interest so feel free to pop a question and follow me :)

Enjoy my blog :)

fuck sake 😵

i bought raspberries on Wednesday and its now Sunday and they are totally gone off!!

as much as i love fruits, i can’t stand the fact that they last such a short amount of time and cost a little more than i want them too.

all i wanted was damn raspberries with my breakfast. is that too hard to ask for???

healthy problems…..

my first time experiencing Bikram Yoga

i was told that it’s important to eat 2 hours before class and drink 1 liter of water. so i did. the class started at half 10 and with the horrible irish weather, it was half tempting to just stay at home, in my jammies and drink tea but i refused to let that be an option.

i put on the lightest gym gear i could find, packed my bag with towels (for putting on the yoga mat and to wipe my face when class was over) water (and lots of it) and yoga mat and off i went to class with my mam. we walked into this building which then had a tiny room for the class. it looked like it would be full of people that have been doing yoga for years but there was only a handful of people in the class and out of the handful that were there, only 3 people actually done it brilliantly so thankfully, myself and my mam didn’t look like a bunch of ejits with our legs around our heads.

when we walked into the room, we didn’t realize how hot it would actually be. i taught they turn the heat up each time the class goes on but no. it was hot the minute we walked in. so it’s safe to say, i was sweating before class even began! i couldn’t tell you what we started off with first as i was do busy trying to actually get the technique  which i did, eventually! as the class went on, the movements became more intense and, erm, interesting but overall each movement felt brilliant on each part of the body. i just need to try and focus on using my core muscle next time in class as i kept trying to get the techniques right instead of using my core muscles.

i must start learning the techniques and do them at home for practice  the class went on for 95 minutes and i sweated buckets. i don’t even sweat the way i did in yoga when i am training generally so that must be a good thing? plus the amount of calories that are burned during bikram yoga is amazing.

i plan on doing bikram yoga every second day for the next 2 weeks as i am off college so that should be fun and i am mixing it with bootcamp, cycling and running. being fit is awesome :)

i would recommend bikram yoga to ANYONE, off any age, any size and any level. even though i train and cycle all the time, it doesn’t mean i was able to pass the yoga class with flying colours. so don’t get disappointed when you try it the first time and do “rubbish”, we all have to learn somewhere :) bikram yoga is great for relaxing, tightening the core muscles and also helps with flexibility. you should try it :)

time for shower and study

happy friday guys :) xox

What took me 45 minutes to cycle to college yesterday

took me 38 minutes today.

i am improving all ready ☺

I know it’s only Friday

but I have a meal planner done for next week. I will be so busy this weekend with studying I won’t have time to scratch my bottom. Meals are looking fun for next week :)

Training tonight was horrendous. My trainer done exactly what we done last night and I was still in pain from last night, tonight’s training was half arse but I think I done well enough. Once I walk out the door sweating and in pain, I’ve done we’ll :)

Tonight for dinner I made home made pizza with pita bread and it was delish, yay for healthy pizzas :)

i put my name down to play a random basketball match on Wednesday…..

…..i don’t even know what i’m doing.
anyone care to tell me the rules and shit?

if you want to know why i got into fitness in the first place, have a read of this, whatever, it's up to you
